Postnatal Yoga with Baby

Session Two:
Dates: Wednesday July 23, July 30, August 13, and August 20
Time: 10:45 to 11:45 AM
Cost: $40 (students $35)

Class Description: Postnatal Yoga class is a 60-minute yoga class designed to get the postpartum mother back in shape while playfully bonding with her new baby.  For the mother, the class focuses on postpartum needs such as regaining alignment, toning the pelvic floor and re-establishing core strength. Through baby interaction such as baby massage and poses including baby, the class challenges the mother, giving her a sense of physical fitness and well-being.  Babies age 4 weeks through crawling are welcome, and no prior yoga experience is necessary.

What to Bring
Please bring a blanket for your baby to lie on when on the floor, a bottle of water for mom to stay hydrated, and any necessary diapers and bottles for feeding and changing baby during class.

What to Wear
Both mom and baby should wear comfortable clothing that they can move around easily in.  Bring layers for baby to make sure that his/her body temperature is comfortable during class.

Cost
$10 per class (students $9)

Birthwise Prenatal Yoga

Celebrate the joyful spirit of pregnancy by learning essential practices to achieve your optimal birthing experience and relieve common discomforts of pregnancy. In class you will meet and communicate with like-minded mothers and enjoy a relaxed, supportive atmosphere. This new community can bring many years of support during your parenting years.  You will also benefit from the expertise and counsel of an experienced teacher.
